Hammond Report July 16 2020 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Music and Stories from organist accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story in the old bread factory Brotfabrik Frankfurt in Frankfurt-Hausen, the first time Lee Oskar (harmonica, original member of the group WAR) sat in on my band with a killer blues shuffle driven by James Preston drums who came over (long-time drummer Sons of Champlin) and guitarist Barry Finnerty for my gigs, and earlier in the day we did a live broadcast on AFN Europe from Frankfurt Headquarters (seen at end of clip) a lot of our friends were in the house - special thanks Joe Berger did the sound at Brotfabrik and AFN - yours truly Jon Hammond at the XB-2 Hammond organ.

Hammond Report July 15 2020 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Music and Stories from organist accordionist Jon Hammond, today story about my tune we played here in Nashville, Tennessee at Summer NAMM "No X-Cess Baggage Blues", sadly Summer NAMM 2020 was canceled, but this date of July 15th 2021 will be the first day of Summer NAMM next year, so see you there folks! I wrote this tune for my friends at PIA airlines, who were always very liberal about my excess baggage. I flew on them many times internationally. On the band, Joe Berger guitar playing a special TV Jones guitar, Roland Barber trombone, Cord Martin tenor saxophone, Leslie Chuggy Carter congas & percussion, Louis Flip Winfield drums and yours truly Jon Hammond on the Sk1 Hammond Organ.

This is a direct recording, great mix from the Thunder Audio team - special thanks Greg Herreman Productions, Seth Lowe & Colin Cargile, Eric Larsen TASCAM and Brian Larsen Gator Cases

Harwich Port, Massachusetts

Cape Cod - private club, now it's called

Wychmere Beach Club

- we played all the private parties for

Tip O'Neill

long-time Speaker of The House, Tip was a member of the club and lived nearby. I played his Daughter Susan O'Neill's wedding, we had Secret Service all over the place - Tip always arrived with his Wife and entourage, some of the Kennedy Clan and his main man always by his side was in a wheelchair, I never found out the man's name (maybe someone out there knows?) - very clean B3 + Leslie I played there nightly - another long-time member of Wychmere Harbor Club I played for very often was Lee Berk founder of

Berklee College of Music

, Lee was always real nice to the band, as was Tip! Enjoy this precious audio recording and story folks - very sadly / tragically Lou Colombo was killed just a few days after I went to visit him in Fort Myers FL as he was driving home from his gig at his Daughter's restaurant The Roadhouse - by a 17 year-old driver in a Jeep Wrangler - keep the Spirit folks, and be super careful and safe out there - remember to mask-up during this pandemic,
