Hammond Report October 8 2020 from Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from the organist & accordionist Jon Hammond, today's story very special the last time I got to play with my very dear friend who I miss so much, Lutz Büchner - long-time saxophonist / clarinetist / flautist of NDR Bigband and 20 years on my organ combo, I miss Lutz so much!! We lost him at only 47 years old - please enjoy this and big thanks to my friend Nicolai Ditsch shot our camera so soulfully - Lutz' brothers of other mothers flanking him Ernst-Friedrich Fiete Felsch the great alto saxophonist NDR frontline with Michael Leuschner trumpet, m.d. and leader of LaJazzO MV big band - main man Heinz Lichius drums kicking us and the Berger-Meister Joe Berger tore it up on guitar - it doesn't get any better than this for me folks, yours truly Jon Hammond at the organ in Auster Bar, thanks Frank & Torsten! and my dear friend Knut Benzner of NDR you see me hug him at the end - have a beautiful safe day everybody, keep masking up in the pandemic, I'll be back tomorrow with another Hammond Report!
