Hammond Report August 11 2021 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from the organ player and accordionist Jon Hammond, today's music story is quite remarkable with actual live recording I made onstage playing in 1976 with the great trumpet player bandleader
Lou Colombo when I was in the house band at the Wychmere Harbor Club, Louie was the leader, I played nightly along with Frank Shea drums, Jack Peña guitar and yours truly
Jon Hammond at the Hammond B3 organ - I was shuttling back and forth from Cape Cod to New York City and Boston - I hit every Howard Johnson's along the way - they called me 'HoJo Hammond' back then I knew every Howard Johnson's waitress, pouring coffee down me to keep me awake on the road - we played Disco, Standards and we were the band for all the parties of Speaker of The House
Thomas "Tip" O'Neill including his Daughter's wedding there - stay safe everybody, come back again tomorrow for next Hammond Report
