Jon Hammond #1 Voter in Times Square on Machine #1 for Obama / Biden, arrived 4.30AM voted 6.05:
Later arrivals waiting in hallway to vote:

Jon Hammond flew in to JFK yesterday on same flight as Charlie Haden's Band and met others who were coming home to New York to get their votes in for Barack Obama and Joe Biden, even one couple who lives part time in Paris and Sag Harbor NY.
Jon came at 4.30, nobody was there...2 more guys came just before 5AM, #2 and #3, shortly joined by #4, #5, #6 and #7, then a flood of people. Reuters News Service camera crew complete with Swedish cameraman was on the scene. Jon checked in at 6AM, went in to machine #1 and voted...came out to a big round of applause and by that time there were hundreds of people lined up to vote, apparently all for Obama / Biden. As Bernard Purdie said in an email from Japan after voting by absentee ballot "Go Man Go"!
A big day in history, the whole world is watching and the numbers are coming in now and looking good!

Örjan Fahlström is the new Musical Director of the HR Big Band in Frankfurt Germany. Originally from Umea Sweden, he was Professor for Composition at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm and is well known for his work with European-based jazz-soloists such as Benny Bailey, Bobo Stenson, Tim Hagans or Palle Mikkelborg. Fahlström was the artistic director of the Norrbotten Big Band from 1989 till 1996 and is a regular guest conductor with a number of renowned big bands, including the NDR-Big Band and Estonian Dream Big Band Tallinn.
