This film will crack you up...It was a good night for FSB (Funk Soul & Blues) on May 21 of 1998 in New York City. Jon Hammond brought his band in to the SAVOY LOUNGE on 41st St. across from Port Authority Bus Terminal and next to Carroll Music Instrument Rental & Studios where all the cats rehearsed: On tenor sax Todd Anderson, Joris Dudli on drums, Barry Finnerty guitar and Jon Hammond at the B3 organ playing some of Jon Hammond's classic Funk Soul compositions 'Head Phone' and end of 'Nu Funk ('Hip Hop Chitlins'). Drummer Bernard Purdie had just walked in and the joint was jumping. RIP Savoy Lounge NYC! Catch Jon's daily radio show HammondCast at 4AM PST on KYOU & KYCY 1550 AM and streaming world wide

LJII: Earlier this day Jon Hammond Blues Band played live on AFN Europe Radio 'Powerlite Show' at Frankfurt Headquarters on The Power Network 871 ... all » AM/MW. The crowd who came to hear the show that night at Brotfabrik in Frankfurt Hausen Bachmannst. 2-4 got a special treat when Jon introduced his special guest LEE OSKAR : There is no one in the pop music world quite like Lee Oskar. His unique role as a founding member and former lead harmonica player for the pioneer funk/jazz group, WAR, won him international renown for over two and a half decades (1969-1993). Oskar's signature harp solos helped to define the WAR sound from the band's beginning, Lee blew the roof off of the place with Jon Hammond Blues Band including James Preston of Sons of Champlin drms., Barry Finnerty gtr. and Jon Hammond at the organ. Joe Berger mixed the sound. Enjoy! *Catch Jon Hammond's daily radio show HammondCast on KYOU 1550AM in San Francisco daily 4AM © JH INTL www.HammondCast.com

John Bishop had just returned to SF from 2 years in Louisville Kentucky and has since moved to Baton Rouge Louisiana home of Jon's old friend Percy Sledge. X-Tremely Funky!
