I brought my friend Edward Jaynes aka Black Kojak to my house gig with Lou Colombo at Wychmere Harbor Club, he wore a velvet tuxedo - Lou dug Black Kojak a lot - Jon Hammond - that was my 1978 Honda Accord I drove 90 miles each way to the gig at Wychmere Harbor Club from the Combat Zone in Beantown where I lived at the time - when I started the gig I had a room there, but eventually the room disappeared and I had to drive my ass off to make the gig - one night I fell asleep at the wheel on the way back to the bean and woke up in the middle of a rotary on the old Rte. 6 - JH — at Wychmere Beach Club

Knut Benzner (* 1955) ist ein Musikjournalist und Radiomoderator.
Er arbeitet seit 1986 für den Rundfunk als Moderator und Autor von Features, Interviews und Musikerporträts, vor allem zu den musikalischen Stilrichtungen Countrymusik, Blues, Westernmusik und Jazz. Auf NDR Info moderiert er im einstündigen Nachtclub extra die Sendung „Sunday Blues“, und im zweistündigen Soundcheck des Deutschlandfunk die Sendung „Country & Western“. Im Internet-Radiosender ByteFM präsentiert er die einstündige Sendung „Urban Landmusik“.
Benzner hat zudem Porträts von Musikern wie z. B. Jon Dee Graham, Screaming Jay Hawkins, Jakob Dylan, Pat Metheny und James Taylor verfasst, die auf anderen Sendeplätzen des DLF und NDR ausgestrahlt worden sind.
