Hammond Report November 22 2021 From Pandemic Quarantino Jon Hammond - Daily Music and Stories from Jon Hammond the organ player & accordionist - today's music story is about gig I put on 12/12/1989 in the infamous "Indigo Blues Club" that was partially owned by Miles Davis - Joe Berger is sitting in on my band with his Blonde 335 Gibson guitar, Bernard Purdie drums with the "Purdie Shuffle" and yours truly Jon Hammond at the Hammond B3 - it was a really cold December night, but it was hot down in the basement of the Hotel Edison where the club was - Sofia's Italian restaurant was upstairs - Goin' to KC on this one - a lot of people crashed the gate, we didn't really have a door man for the gig, but I want to thank Scott Cooper for shooting video and being there! This footage is from my old Panasonic PV-430D camcorder that had some whacky digital special effects and digital gain boost so we could shoot in the dark clubs.
